Layer 1: Circle, dark gold, outline (creates outline of center circle)
Layer 2: Shield, yellow (trims the handle from layer 3)
Layer 3: Umbrella, light yellow, upside down (creates the highlight of the center button)
Layer 4: Circle, yellow (creates the center button)
Layer 5-8: Spiked shield, brown (creates the corners)
Layer 9-12: Round shield, yellow (creates the arms of the gold cross).
Exploded view without layers 1-4. Placing layers 1-4 trims the inside and creates the center "button" of the gold cross
I think you should make the inside circle a bit smaller and the pointy shields in the background grey
